lyrics
friendly neglect no longer protects my heart
filling a pocket with scar only weighs me down
understanding only demanding more
what am i bending backwards for
couldn’t you turn around?
shame on my lazy mind
together still only means one thing
tangled in the gears of the same machine
time to shut it down
take my life turn it around
55, learning to breathe
know i’ve got no right to be down
but i’m so lazy it’s true
simply addicted to you
but it’s over and done with, we’re through
What a stellar bunch of songs from an amazing band. Picks up right where they left off 14 yrs ago yet still sounds new. Loving every note. This is Sebadoh! ryan allen
With appearances by Lou Barlow, David Yow, Bobb Bruno and more, the latest from Dumb Numbers is a drone-pop delight. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 18, 2016
A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
